ITS has three competitions: ITS#FASHION, for students in their final year and young fashion designers. ITS#ACCESSORIES, the only competition for accessories that embraces all fields of accessories design. ITS#PHOTO, that will involve young photography talents and some of the best photography schools in the world.

ITS#EIGHT took place on 10-11 July 2009 in Trieste, coast-line city in Northern Italy. It gathered together not only the most important international press but alsoprofessionals and opinion leaders from the fashion and photography world. 17 fashion finalists, 17 accessories finalists and 16 photography finalists had their works analysed by Juries including Diesel Founder & President Renzo Rosso, photographer Ari Marcopoulos, Visionaire editor Cecilia Dean, POP/LOVE creative director Lee Swillingham and many more. The Greatest show of all ITS once again showcased the most interesting creativity! On 10 - 11 July ITS#EIGHT unveiled the projects of the selected finalists for the Fashion, Accessories and Photography competition. On Friday 10 July a marching band ushered in the opening of the ITS#ACCESSORIES and ITS#PHOTO exhibitions, and the guests entered the venue located on the Trieste harbour front to view the incredible accessories and photography projects on display. On Saturday 11 July Master of Ceremonies Victoria Cabello welcomed the wonderful collections of ITS#FASHION, while Diesel Founder & President Renzo Rosso stepped on the catwalk to warmly advise the local institutions about the importance of ITS and of supporting such an amazing event, unique of its kind. The Diesel Award The winner is Alice Knackfuss! Alice Knackfuss, German fashion designer from the Akademie Mode Design in Munich was awarded the prize directly from Renzo Rosso's hands! She will receive a cash prize of € 50,000 that she will use to promote her work in the best possible way and to invest in her career. On top of that, she will fly to the Diesel HQ in Italy for an internship within the Diesel Creative Team, and discover all the secrets of working in an innovative international fashion company.
